Good Friday & there’s surf

Published by at 9:13 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

It’s raining as I write this, but the radar seems to be showing that it will clear up in the next hour or two for most of Sydney. Makes it hard to get a picture for the time being. Seems to be a fair number of bods in the water at Dee Why point and along the beach, but hard to judge the quality. Looks (based on where people are sitting in the water) like there must be a few sets into the chest high range at least at the point.

Swell is dead south at 3-5 metres right now and the period is an okay 9 seconds, so there should be some energy around the place. Wind is 15-20 kts out of the SW. Bureau says it’ll get up to 20-30 kts from the S.

I’d expect the energy levels to hang in there for today and into tomorrow morning.

Have yourself a good one!

I shot another little video yesterday while playing around at Longy…
