08 May 07: tiny, but is it surfable?

Published by at 8:07 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

Late last night, I heard the ocean whispering quietly from down the valley. Just Huey snoring softly but this morning there actually is a tiny bit more energy showing at Dee Why. Doesn’t look rideable down at kiddies or at the point, but there might possibly be something you could point a mal at somewhere else with better exposure to the SE. Swell at sea is only averaging a metre at 8 seconds, but there are some 10 sec period things in the mix according to the MHL buoy off Sydney.

Wind forecast is for N-NE 10-15 and the Bureau says Sydney will be fine.

Outlook for our region is small but possibly picking up into the surfable range on Thursday (waist high maybe), then smaller Friday, before the possible arrival of small 10 sec period east swell at the weekend. Here’s hoping!!!

Have yourself a top old day!
