Foggy surf report

Published by at 7:51 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

As I write this, the fog is too dense along the northern beaches for me to see anything. Bureau says it’ll lift around 0900. Fog or no fog, I can tell you that the MHL buoy is showing an average of about a metre of east swell at around the 10 sec mark. That’s pretty close to what we had at the close of play yesterday, so if you found something then, I’d head back there again today. Dee Why was pretty unexceptional yesterday, but there were little ones around for the keen.

Outlook for the rest of the day seems to be for the swell to gradually weaken and be smaller still tomorrow, with Weds looking pretty dire for the entire east coast. At least one of the models is showing some long period south swell hitting the Sydney region around late Thursday. Right now it appears that it’ll be just a short pulse, but if it goes according to the predictions, Friday morning could be pretty interesting.

Go well with your day!
