Sunny Sunday but no waves in Sydney

Published by at 10:25 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

So, how ’bout them cats? Tonight’s game should be good too. Oh, surf? You wanted to know about surf on this beautiful Sydney spring day?

Well, what can I do but add to what the pictures show? It’s dire. The windswell is only about 7 sec apart and is struggling to reach an average height at sea of a metre. It’s out of the SE, which is good, and the wind is out of the NW (going to 15-20kts this arvo) which would be good too – if there were waves.

It looks as though the flatness will continue here in Sydney at least through tomorrow. Then, maybe on Tuesday some longer period stuff will sneak in from all the activity that’s due to be brewing up across the eastern Tasman. The current bright spot (and it’s not much more than a glow) is Thr-Fri when at least one of the models is calling for some reasonable period south swell into the two metre range. Fingers crossed, eh?

Off you go then, and have yourself a great day!
