Blustery and messy

Hello Friends,

Yep, it’s windy down at the beach too. 15-25 kts from the S to SE most places. Swell peaked last night at around 5 metres out at sea. Right now it’s about 4 metres at 9 seconds from the SSE, so it hasn’t exactly dropped dramatically. Unfortunately where Dee Why is concerned, it’s all beside the point because the wind is just hammering the joint.

It looks as though the wind will be powering along at about this speed all day. It should drop back a touch tomorrow, but not enough for things to clean up to any significant extent.

The general outlook is for more of this wind for the remainder of the week with gradually decreasing size. Huey always has the option of chucking a wild card onto the table, and there is some prospect of another little low forming off the mid north coast. Right now it’s not looking significant for the Sydney region, but it could be good for the far north coast and SE Qld.

Good to have a bit of activity showing on the forecasts.

Go well if you’re backing anything in the cup, in fact go well if you aren’t!
