Junky but a few waves to be had…

Published by at 7:04 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

15-20 kts of southerly is not making for a pretty picture. The ocean looks pretty rough and even in the protected confines of Dee Why, it’s heaving around and slopping over a fair amount. That said, it isn’t so bad that people have been deterred from thrashing around in the even messier beachy. Sets are into the head high range on the bombs, so the prospect of such a section has lured a few takers.

The Bureau says the 15-20 kts of S-SE wind we’re seeing now in Sydney, should ease back by this afternoon. It would appear that the swell will stick around too.

Tomorrow the wind is due to go around to the E & NE at 10-20 kts. The Bureau currently expects that the SE swell should still be hanging in there as well. However, the general surf forecast trend is for the swell to swing east and fade steadily toward the weekend.

Get out there if you can, and have yourself a good one!
