another messy morning

Published by at 8:11 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

Huey’s not feeling too creative this morning. He’s left the settings pretty much where they’ve been for days now. Wind is out of the ESE to SE at 15-25 kts. And that’s already stronger than the Bureau’s call. Conditions are therefore very messy and confused. Swell is still averaging around 2 metres out at sea. The sea + swell is up toward the 4 metre mark, so I’d say it’d be pretty ordinary offshore. Good day to be a landlubber. The period is still averaging 8 seconds across the Sydney region. There is some 10 sec stuff mixed in with it, so those keen enough to be in the water this morning, should be seeing some sets into the head high range, or even a touch bigger.

The general outlook from the Bureau and the wave models is for more of the same this week. My plan is to work up another week-ahead video surf forecast for you later today, so I’ll leave more elaborate comments for then!

Hope you’re in for a great day! Go well and stay happy.
