Breezy, cool & waves

Published by at 8:11 am under Surf reports

Hello Friends,

Beautiful morning in Sydney. Bit cold and breezy, but that’s not deterring a substantial crew from having a lash at Dee Why’s offerings. As expected, the swell has pushed up into the 2 metre range from the SSE. Period’s only averaging around 8 seconds, so most of the energy will be sliding by Sydney. However, if you can find your way to a spot with exposure to the SE, there should be something to be had. Wind is currently around the 10-15kt range and coming from the west.

The Bureau’s calling for the wind to ease off as the day goes along, so if you’re feeling a little chilled and want to wait until the day warms up, you’ll probably get away with leaving your arrival time until later. The swell is due to fade overnight and Monday will likely be smaller and weaker – but not flat.

Have yourself a top old day!
