Woo-hoo! We got waves!

here we go!

Hello Friends,

Huey got to work last night while you were sleeping Sydneysiders. In the space of just a few hours, the swell coming toward our fair city went from less than a metre at 5 seconds to 4-6 metres at 9 seconds. The primary direction has swung from the SSW to a more amenable SSE. Just one thing… did I mention the windchill factor?

The WSW’ly is pushing along at a brisk 17-20 kts as I write this around 0730. It’s around 12 degrees up the valley from Dee Why, but that wind will be making it feel closer to 7. The good thing is that the wind is due to fade back this morning and the swell should stick around all day before dropping overnight.

Get out there if you can!
