How keen are ya?

Not too happening at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Looks like a great day for east coasters to catch up on non-surfing pursuits. It’s mighty tiny from stem to stern kids. At Dee Why there were a few extra keen types out rustling ripples with their mals. Out at sea off Sydney the MHL buoy is showing a low swell (touch under a metre) with a power setting of just 7 seconds on average. To the extent it matters, the primary direction is a generally useful SE. Useful, that is, when there’s something in the surfable range.

Things kinda got away from me yesterday, so there wasn’t time to come up with a report on how the forecast models are looking. With luck I’ll be able to get on to that today.

On a more serious note, I know that many of you have been following the news on Daz Longbottom (aka Longbum) on our forums. After checking the idea out with a couple of his close mates who are closely involved with coordinating things on his behalf, I whipped up a quick little web site for them to use if they want. You’ll find it at

Have yourself a top old day!
