Yep, waves again, but smaller

waves around at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Skies are cloudy to start with this morning in Sydney, but the wind is light and offshore. As well, we still have the east swell we’ve enjoyed over the last couple days. As anticipated, it’s dropped again overnight, but not by too much. Period is now a little under 8 seconds, but the average height at sea is still bumping along at about a metre. And, there is some 12 sec component in the mix according to the MHL data.

Down at Dee Why these conditions were creating waist to chest high plus sets. Not too crowded looking either. The point had a couple bods on it, but the sets are small and pretty few and far between.

I’d say if you got waves someplace yesterday, that you’d want to have a look at that as a starting point again today.

Wind is set to be 13-18 kts SW this am and then to increase to 20-30kts . Tomorrow should be very windy from the SW and we should see the swell start to push up from the south as the low gets going.

Hope you’ve had a top week and that there are some waves in your immediate future!
